The Holy Spirit of God

04/07/2011 Human Observations

When I feel alone in my journey through the challenges of a believer in Jesus the Messiah, while living in a world of unbelief, I am frequently and consistently comforted by God; and reassured that there are others also dwelling here, who share in the same belief. Too often, I grow dependent on what my eyes regularly observe, or what my ears can distinctively distinguish, or what my mind can satisfactorily comprehend as the source of my confidence and competence to successfully navigate the social and spiritual waters of this earthly domain. Yet, I am scripturally reminded to look to the Holy Spirit of God, sent by Jesus the Messiah, for all truth and comfort. So, I can reject the premise that we are placed here to “fare for ourselves”, by holding onto that which is only provided for those who believe that the Messiah made himself seeable and available to those who see the need for reconciliation with God. Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to comfort me, and to lead me into all truth, to name just a couple of functions provided by the Creator of my mind and my ability to think.
