04/08/2011 Human Observations
I popped wide awake at 4:30am. Don't know why. I am very mindful this morning about something said to me a few weeks ago, when I was told that it was believed that God does not deal with us in our daily matters, but rather gives us tools to work with, then leaves us on our own to work out the challenges of living in the world. I see things very differently, seeing that Jesus specifically told his friends that He was going away, to sit at the right hand of our Heavenly Father, and from that position ask the Father to send His Holy Spirit to us. The scripture says:
1 John 2:27
But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
I believe that this scripture illuminates the idea of putting new wine in a new bag, describing how understanding, as a believer, is a continual process, building the comprehension of the mercy and love of God layer upon layer; as my eyes are opened wider with each new revelation. Moreover, my primary purpose here in the world is to faithfully witness these instances of God’s mercy and love, as a participant or simply as an observer. Everything else is covered in the activities of daily living, where Jesus’ prayer to our Heavenly Father comes into play:
John 17:15
I pray not that thou shouldest take them out of the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil.
We are kept by the Spirit of God which lives within us to accomplish the God’s purpose for and in us. Jesus the Messiah is the mediator between God and humans. When Jesus departed the earth, and arrived in the heavenly realm, He sent us His representative:
John 14:26
But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
We are not alone, but rather are comforted and guided daily constantly.
