10/13/2009 Human Observations
A male teenager prevented the theft of his father’s bicycle in Florida. In retaliation, someone threw a flammable liquid on him, and set him on fire. This kind of action extends far beyond simple deviation from civilized behavior. There is something malicious and insidious involved in such inhuman behavior. Was the prevented theft of the bicycle a challenge to someone’s power, was the retaliation an over-reaction caused by the inability to handle a high degree of stress, or was this a simple act of blatant criminal arrogance? Whatever the cause, this horribly violent pre-meditated attempt at murder indicates a heinous shift in traditional suburban teenaged anti-social behavior. Something in that offender’s under-experienced mind made it okay to carry out a plan to torture and murder someone who was defending against theft. Sound familiar? Remember how the old American West was taken and settled.
There is presently an attempt to make affordable healthcare available to all American citizens. All that is required is a supporting vote of the Congressional Senators and Representatives of American citizens. The retaliatory efforts that resist such a challenge to the power and profits of insurance providers are a more broad reflection of that same suburban teen violence. Consider it well … only in America could a corporate industry first purchase legislation the guaranteed the need for insurance, then make the price of such insurance so unreasonably expensive as to guarantee a double or triple digit profit margin, while additionally shutting out of its system the afflicted and the poor. In spite of the noble efforts of a Nobel Prize winning sitting American President … the beat goes on. Don't be fooled ... AGAIN!
