Independence

08/28/2009 Human observations
We long for a world where we can enjoy our lives and loves.
What distinguishes us is our individual method or approach toward the achievement of these life dreams. The lessons learned enable us to formulate a plan of attack, so to speak, honing our skills and senses to recognize the road signs along our path to accomplishment. If the desired end is an undisturbed enjoyment of the loves of our lives, then what remains is to clarify the objects of our affections.
Some people seek people to love; that is, family or maybe a single soulmate. This is somewhat traditional, and therefore generally acceptable to the majority of the population. There are those, however, who possess a love for the inanimate, like money or property. Others lust after the intangible, like power, influence, or authority. These are the people whose desires intrude upon the individual freedoms of others. No doubt, there is childhood trauma involved in the formulation of such extroversion. The beginning of the healing of this ‘lack of self’ dwells in acknowledgement. Realizing fulfillment is a self-contained process, independent of external validation. The need to dominate other life forms identifies an empty space that should be occupied by wisdom and understanding. Self confidence occurs within us, and cannot be produced outside of us. It’s not Astro-Physics. It is the result of human growth.
