Guidance

04/21/2011 Human Observations

The scriptures declare with uncanny clarity the certainty of things that are to be understood by the attentive. Daniel was made aware of certain things to come by the same Spirit that is given to everyone who believes in the Messiah of God. When we determine to leave our offensive thought processes behind us accepting guidance of thought that is offered by the Spirit of God (baptism), we are positioned to both accept and recognize the guidance that takes us into that transformed mind of perceptual renewal (Romans 12:1-2).  Many thoughts may pop into the mind of a believer, but the recognition of God’s Words, as opposed to other words, is the gift that makes us certain that we are the children of God, and the grafted-in relatives of Jesus The Messiah.

John 1:11 - 1311He came unto his own, and his own received him not.  12But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:  13Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

Daniel 9:2 2In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.

24Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy. 25Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.  26And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.  27And he shall confirm the covenant with (the) many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

Matthew 23:37-3937O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, thou that killest the prophets, and stonest them which are sent unto thee, how often would I have gathered thy children together, even as a hen gathereth her chickens under her wings, and ye would not!  38Behold, your house is left unto you desolate. 39For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.
