Complacency

The media has decided to turn its negative attention to (who else?) … the President of the United States. While in their own little positions of economic comfort, they ask: “what has he actually done in this first year of his Presidency”? They take for granted the high priced gasoline, animal and vegetable protein, and the electronic (and other socio-economic) goods and services that they can daily afford to purchase. They take for granted the ease with which they travel to and from their business and social destinations, mindless of the terror that shadows many others both at home and abroad. They even ignore the need to reinforce the socio and political issues of freedom and liberty that have enabled them to live their lives of personal choice. They are bored and comfortable. The bible speaks clearly of such complacency: “Everything that can be shaken will be shaken”; so that we, who enjoy clarity, will wake up! It is all for our learning.
