There has been much ado from the Conservatives about the perils of Comprehensive Health Care, the “Public Option”, Michael Jackson’s Doctor, and of course Michael Vick. What is noticeably absent is the loud voice that, at one time, spoke out with self-important arrogance against immorality. In light of the recent infidelity of many Conservative politicians and highly regarded conservative public figures, the voice of Right-Winged morality appears to have been humbled. The “family values” that served as their rallying issue has fallen along the wayside because it had no root in reality. What has become clear is that which they truly valued: pride, arrogance, greed, and power … all of which have been decimated by the light of public discovery. So while they wallow in denial, the first Black President of the United States of America goes about the business of repairing the extensive damage done during a conservative political atmosphere.
