10/09/2008 Human Observations
The socio-economic structures of the world are in the process of changing.
This disruption of the banking industry is being felt throughout the civilized world. It is no longer practical for individual banking systems to operate independent of its planetary neighbors, because the money and resulting credit, which fuels these banking systems, must fluidly flow on a planetary scale. Some nations, in facing this reality, are already taking steps to initiate a corporate-government within its current system of national economics, demonstrating capitalistic desperation.
The United Kingdom has actually nationalized certain of its banks, to shore up its economic foundations, and to insure some manner of oversight control. The EU is laboring for a unifying monetary solution to its downward financial spiral. Here in the USA, we’ve poored billions into Wall Street in hopes of relieving investment fears that have investors frozen, like a deer in headlights. The stock markets of the world have lost more than two trillion dollars already, which means that many stock, trust, and retirement plans face extinction from this financial meltdown.
We, as a planetary people, must enter into this very difficult period of human history as neighbors, all working towards the cooperative goal of building a new economic foundation, on which a better system of civilization must be built. A greed oriented financial system must be replaced with a better system that enables every citizen opportunity to participate in and profit by its use. If we intend to benefit from the solution, we must participate in the solution. What’s done is done. Let’s move on. Don’t get mad; get busy.
