Week Four

The completion of three weeks in Laguna Beach is marked by today's schedule: out and about by 0830, locate a meeting at noon, bus to my scheduled intake in Laguna Hills by 1600, and try to bus back home in time for the 1930 meeting. All of this after tossing and turning from midnight onward, after an unscheduled eight hour shift, and prior to a week of scheduled forty hours worth of eight hour shifts. I don't even know what to do about Sunday ... scheduled til 2100, yet the last bus leaves at about 2030! God is handling this stuff; I sure can't.
Noted a soldier of ten years refusing to perform a second tour of duty in Iraq, noting a refusal to kill anymore. Said he was not adequately prepared for the kind of warfare encountered. Sounds familiar, eh?
The Patriots of New England again won the SuperBowl yet, for the third time, did not cover the SuperBowl spread. How consistent can it get?
The Cubs traded away Sammy Sosa to Baltimore. A new moment has arrived on the Northside.
Reminded today that sinning doesn't make me sinful; it proves that I am sinful. The flesh is tough stuff to deal with, what with desire being always in full bloom. I noticed a point of difficulty yesterday, trying to differentiate between the an attraction from a lustful gaze. Mandates the need to be in manual, not in automatic. I seek my open door.
