1 John 4:15
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
It seemed useful that I should clarify those for whom the law was given: as Paul the Apostle says,
1 Timothy 1:8But we know that the law is good, if a man use it lawfully; 9Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine;
So, then, those who are to be guided by the law, are such that tend to operate contrary to the standard presented by the Creator of all thought and life. Yet, those who accept the sacrifice of Jesus the Messiah as their own are guided by God Himself. If we are acceptable because our prophet, sacrificial Lamb, and High Priest now sits at the right hand of our Heavenly Father, then we no longer require a list of things that we are not to do. Rather, we have the Spirit of God alive within us speaking clearly what manner of humans we are to be … daily.
Micah 6:8
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
He hath shewed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the LORD require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God?
Mark 12:30
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
