Ruth

05/09/2011 Human Observations
In reading the story of Rahab the harlot, there was a natural deviation into the story of Ruth the Moabite.  The story of Rahab is the model of gentile forgiveness and redemption.  The story of Ruth is the story of the redemption, not only of this gentile tribal member of an enemy of Israel but also the redemption of “the land”; serving as an amazingly accurate prophetic model of the redemption of the gentile bride of the Messiah, the role of the Kinsman Redeemer, and His lawful re-apprehension of the title deed of the earth.  Once again, “the feet” are significant to the story, Ruth uncovering the feet of Boaz to declare herself to him.
Isaiah 52:7
How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!
Luke 3:16
John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:

I remember all too well, also, that the children of Israel wandered the wilderness for forty years in ONE pair of shoes.   All things are possible with God.

Revelation 5:5
And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.
