Many us who belong to the Lord our God go through the process where our hearts are revealed to us. Our discoveries are not spectacularly horrible or distinctively deplorable; they are simply a bigger disappointment to us than they are to our Creator, who died for our weaknesses before we made a single bad decision. Rather than dwelling on the accumulations of this world, let us mull over the wonder of the thorny burning bush that the God's fire would not consume, and the crown of thorns worn by our Messiah the day that he placed himself in our shoes as the legal and acceptable sacrifice for our offenses. He promised that we would be with Him forever ... if we would accepted His sacrifice as our own. Let this love guide our day.
