Luke 24:45
“Then opened he their understanding that they might understand the scriptures.”
This anniversary commemorates the reuniting of God and His human creations. Those whose eyes are opened can see life, His instructions guiding us in the “how to’s” of civilized behavior. When fear and politics give rise to earthly uncertainty, we all the more, rely on the instructions of our Lord, who told us specifically what is indicated in the face of such uncertainty:
“He hath shown thee, oh man, what is good and what the Lord requires of thee: but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God”.
