Quarantine

Quarantine 08/03/2009 Human Observations
All eyes are on Qinghai, China as the quarantined population endures the outbreak of “Pneumonic Plague”, a distant cousin of Bubonic Plague that killed 25 million folks. Unlike the cousin that traveled from fleas to humans, this bacteria travels from human to human by way of close contact, symptomatically causing a bloody cough as it develops. So far only one dead out of eight patients infected. Tough numbers ... one out of eight. A Flu bugs engulfs the planet, and now a "plague" bacteria surfaces. Our "good reasons" for perpetrating violence upon one another are suddenly falling short of the real terror that is staring us in the face. Shall we continue to focus our planetary attention on borders, power lust, and greed, or is it yet becoming clear that we are misguided by the lusts of our bellies and the deceptions of our hearts? What we seek reflects our master passion, what we value. If we value anything other than life, our actions will deem life secondary. We must turn from error before the repercussions engulf us.
