A senior citizen with a deteriorated medical condition creates a situation whereby a decision must be made as to the viability of that patient, their ability to survive with or without treatment. These decisions have been made since the initial practice of medicine. Yet, Sarah Palin would have you think that such decisions are to be the creation of the proposed health Care Initiative. Viability determines the care plan.
