11/05/2008 Human Observations
Barach Obama is elected as the new President of the United States of America.
There is an enormous task ahead of us all. We, as a nation, must now demonstrate to each other and to the world, that the errors of past administrations will be rectified, that wounds will be healed, and that apathy will be replaced with responsive and attentive productivity.
At home, we must enter into a new national agreement to present to our entire national population a solution to an ineffective health care system; one that guarantees benefits to all working United States citizens. We must choose to build an economic foundation of opportunity and profitability to American employees, and to those businesses that responsibly operate on American shores. We must also determine to participate in the construction of an energy independence that provides for the energy needs of an effectively responsible America. As a nation, we must all participate in the solution. Together we stand.
Overseas … We must attentively heal wounded and strained relationships, constructing an economic and social system of productivity and inter-reliance. The needs of the nations of the world are much like ours; they simply have differing resources from which to draw. Every nation of planetary people requires food, housing, and clothing. These simple issues must be sufficiently addressed so as to provide for our planetary civilization, demonstrating truly responsible planetary leadership and cooperation.
