The war in Iraq rages on, more than 4500 troops are being sent to Afghanistan, the leader of North Korea is believed to be dead or incapacitated (clarifying why they’ve reinstituted their nuclear arms program), the Sec. of State is visiting Libya, probably reforming an alliance that has (in the past) and probably will cost us a lot of money, and the federal unemployment reserve is dwindling, signaling a coming halt to further payments to the unemployed. Soon every new job offered will have more than 100 applicants, with fewer new jobs offered, in the wake of increasing political and corporate uncertainty due to the volatile climate caused by the coming Presidential election. The husband of the slain ex-leader of Pakistan will be assuming a leadership role in the land (hopefully without a vengeful intent), the inhumanity continues in Africa without worldwide intervention, and Israel stands alone in the face of threats all around her. The world stands at the brink of combustion. Yet, it‘s “business as usual” for those of us who must get to work each day to makes ends meet.
The bible speaks to this worldwide volatility , and to our ‘business as usual’ response to this climate, declaring that these things are the signs of a coming moment that will clarify the confusion about the existence and nature of the only LIVING God; just in case you’re interested.
