You would be hard pressed to be able to find this little news item in other newspapers today: Pakistan has ordered its troops to “use lethal force”, if the U.S. launches another raid across the Afghan border. So … it’s come down to this now? We’ve waited seven years to cross into Afghanistan to go after the criminals who crafted the 9/11 tragedy, and now face Pakistani military opposition if we initiate the pursuit. Looks like the White House has really stepped in it this time!
